Thomas Jacobsen Becomes a Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts

Thomas Jacobsen, Principal Investigator of the project 'Valuating Handwriting in East Asia in the Digital Age', has become a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts - Academia Europaea.
Thomas Jacobsen’s research fields include auditory processing, speech perception and processing, executive functions and the neurocognitive psychology of aesthetics. At the Cluster of Excellence, he is working together with Jörg Quenzer as Co-principal Investigator of a project entitled ‘Valuating Handwriting in East Asia in the Digital Age’.
He has been Professor of General and Biological Psychology at Helmut Schmidt University since 2009. Before moving to Hamburg, he was an adjunct professor at the University of Leipzig. In 2007 and 2008 he held visiting professorships at the University of Vienna and FU Berlin. Thomas Jacobsen is President of the International Association of Empirical Aesthetics and a member of the German Psychological Society.
