Publications
The Centre for the Study of Manuscript Cultures offers a wide range of publications, most of them accessible online. Traditional outlets such as its journal manuscript cultures (mc), Occasional Papers and the book series Studies in Manuscript Cultures (SMC) appear both in print and online; Artefact of the Month (AoM), addressing a broader audience, is published only online. Written Artefacts as Cultural Heritage (WACH) contributes with practical advice and discussions to the field of Cultural Heritage Studies in general and to the preservation of manuscripts and inscriptions in particular.
If you wish to present your research in one of our publications, please contact the responsible editors (see the relevant page for each publication). Our guidelines for publications are available here.
The list below provides you with a complete overview of our publications. It goes back until 2008, when the Forschergruppe 'Manuscript Cultures in Asia and Africa' was established (2008-2011), and encompasses all subsequent CSMC publications (since 2012).
