Among other things, CSMC has acquired the campus-wide rights within the Hamburg library system for the following e-journals: Bamboo and Silk, Digital Culture and Society, East Asian Publishing and Society, Journal of Islamic Manuscripts, Manuscript Studies, Manuscripta, Pecia, Philological Encounters, Philosophical Papyri, Scripta.
Equipment
The library is equipped with a colour book scanner, single workplaces, and places for group work. The university’s WLAN is available and laptop computers may be used on all desks. There are six docking screens for comfortable working with a private laptop.
Manuscript Identification Service
Heirlooms, souvenirs, or offers at antique fairs and auctions – manuscripts from all over the world are still appreciated and treasured as works of art or collector’s items. However, often their origin, content, or material cannot easily be identified. Our researchers and conservators examine your manuscripts, provide information about the items, and advise you on proper handling and storage.
