The workshop functions in dialogue with the virtual ten-part lecture series ‘Maps and Colours’ that starts on 3 November 2020; for a full programme of the lecture series, including times, titles, and speakers, go here. It has been organised by Dr Peter Zietlow at the Centre for the Study of Manuscript Cultures, Dr Diana Lange at the Museum am Rothenbaum “MARKK”, and Dr Benjamin van der Linde at the Hanseatic Business Archive Foundation of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce.
‘Maps and Colours’ is a joint research effort funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and pursued by the Centre for the Study of Manuscript Cultures (CSMC) and the Mineralogical Museum/Center of Natural History (CeNak) as part of Universität Hamburg, the Hanseatic Business Foundation Archive with the Library of Commerce, and the Museum am Rothenbaum, Kulturen und Künste der Welt (MARKK).
