Humanities and Natural Sciences
The synthesis of humanities, natural sciences, and computer science approaches in the study of written artefacts is essential to UWA’s research approach. We understand the role of the natural and computer sciences not only as service providers who assist the humanities in solving certain problems; rather, this collaboration is intended to enable all parties to ask new questions, develop new methods, and thus ultimately arrive at new insights. At UWA, the cooperation of disciplines that don’t seem to have anything in common yields innovative technologies whose applicability is not limited to the study of written artefacts.
