Artefact of the Month

An Ancient Egyptian Contract on Stone
When their lives on earth were over, the ancient Egyptians believed, the virtuous entered the realm of the dead, where they lived on forever. But woe to them if someone intruded into their tomb; that would spell the end of their peaceful afterlife. It was better to take appropriate measures whilst still alive and safeguard one’s legal rights. Our Artefact of the Month is a testament to the attempts made to assert one’s claims even in death.
