with Artists

Writing can inspire and structure creative processes and help record ephemeral art forms such as music, dance, and theatre, and written artefacts can themselves be works of art. We explore these potentials through collaborations with artists spanning genres, traditions, and cultural, linguistic, and social backgrounds. With, among others, concerts, performances, arts-focused workshops, exhibitions, and artistic residences, we aim to foster awareness of the many ways the arts and humanities can benefit public life.
Artists in Residence
Through its Artist in Residence programme, the CSMC strives for a true marriage of the arts and sciences. Across the full range of media and techniques, artists working with written artefacts in the broadest sense are provided with a studio space at the CSMC.
