Applications are now open for the 2026 round of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships, one of the European Commission’s key programs supporting interdisciplinary research and international scientific exchange.
As the world’s largest research centre dedicated to the study of handwritten artefacts, the CSMC warmly welcomes applications for MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships in areas related to written artefacts. The CSMC provides a vibrant interdisciplinary environment, bringing together researchers from over forty disciplines across the Humanities, Natural Sciences, and Computer Science.
Prospective applicants who wish to carry out their MSCA fellowship at the CSMC are encouraged to contact a potential CSMC supervisor in advance. Selected candidates will be invited to a master class in Hamburg to prepare their fellowship proposal before submission.
The scheme offers two types of fellowships: European Postdoctoral Fellowships, open to researchers of any nationality to carry out a personalised project in the European Union (EU) or countries associated to Horizon Europe for up to 24 months; and Global Postdoctoral Fellowships, open to EU and Horizon Europe associated countries nationals or long-term residents wishing to work with organisations in third countries for a period of 12 to 24 months, before returning to Europe for 12 months.
The call will close on 9 September 2026 and is expected to fund nearly 1600 projects. For eligibility details and full information about the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships, please visit the MSCA PF website. For further questions or advice, please contact Nicole Brisch or Eva Jungbluth.
