Video message from the President of Universität Hamburg‘Unique Research Focus Nationwide and Internationally’

On 10 and 11 June, the CSMC celebrated its tenth anniversary on two open days. On this occasion, Professor Hauke Heekeren, President of Universität Hamburg, delivered his greetings and congratulations in a video.

In his message, he emphasised how important it is for research institutions like the CSMC to open up to the local community, ‘not only to show what we excel at, but also what we are good for.’ He also highlighted the importance of the CSMC and the Cluster of Excellence, whose research focus is ‘unique nationwide and internationally’, to the university. Moreover, he expressed his support for the major project to build a new building next to the premises of Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Hamburg (SUB), thus connecting the Centre and the Cluster to the collections of the university library.
