We invite applications for the position of research associate on the project 'Similarity Measurement of Visual Patterns in Written Artefacts'. The call is open until 25 May.
The position is full-time and fixed term, with a duration of three and half years (until 31 December 2025). The starting date in 1 July 2022 and applications must be submitted until 25 May.
Duties primarily include research contributing to the project 'Similarity Measurement of Visual Patterns in Written Artefacts', which is part of Artefact Profiling (Research Field A) at the Cluster of Excellence. The succesful candidate is expected to research, implement and test various similarity-measurement learning approaches and loss functions in addition to different hierarchical clustering algorithms. Besides a university degree in a relevant field and a doctorate, applicants are required to possess very good theoretical and practical knowledge in machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision algorithms. Desirable skills include knowledge of Tensorflow and Python, ASP.NET and C#, and OpenCV.
