The Centre for the Study of Manuscript Cultures congratulates Liem Vu Duc on successfully defending his doctoral dissertation titled 'Texts in the Making of the Empire: Bureaucratic Manuscripts and Political Culture in Vietnam (1820-1841)'. 

The defense took place on 28 December 2020.
