Dr Ulfat Abdurasulov joins CSMC as Petra Kappert Fellow

We welcome Dr Ulfat Abdurasulov as the new Petra Kappert Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Manuscript Cultures. Dr Abdurasulov specialises in the history of Islamic Central Asia (seventeenth to early twentieth century), the history of the Russian protectorates in Central Asia, early modern diplomatic history as well as the history of early modern record-keeping and archiving.

During his fellowship at the CSMC, he will focus on examining the abundance of paperwork of the Moscow Main Archive of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MGAMID), particularly in regards processes of knowledge production about Central Asia in seventeenth and early nineteenth century Russia.
