• Managing cultural heritage cooperation projects (e.g. Kairouan Manuscript Project)
• Building and managing relationships with embassies and consulates, governmental and non-governmental cultural heritage institutions and organisations, industry, legal organisations, professional bodies, law enforcement and security agencies, and universities
•  Consultancy on collection care and management, cultural property protection, heritage ethics, import/export of cultural objects, Islamic manuscript studies, provenance, and return of cultural objects
• Teaching and training related to collection care and management and cultural heritage studies
• Coordination of English-Arabic Manuscriptology Working Group
• Assisting with coordination of cultural heritage unit
• Assisting with coordination of Ethics Working Group
