The ABCs of Art and Cultural Heritage Law

This lecture will introduce the basics of art and cultural heritage law for researchers of written artefacts and address ethical issues related to art and cultural heritage crime and art and cultural heritage law disputes. Topics will include the role of scholars in protecting heritage by refraining from publishing unprovenanced materials, proper steps to take when confronted with problematic materials, the role of libraries and museums in protecting cultural heritage, and the role of scholars in repatriations.
