We invite applications for the position of research associate to provide academic support in planning and implementing the Cluster conference 'Studying Written Artefacts: Challenges and Perspectives' in September 2023. Deadline for applications is 7 March.

The position is part-time (50 percent of standard working hours) and fixed-term, with a duration of one and a half years (until 31 December 2023). The starting date is 16 May 2022 and applications can be submitted until 7 March 2022. 

The successful applicant will support the planning, conception, and implementation of the conference 'Understanding Written Artefacts: Challenges and Perspectives' from 27-29 September 2023, hosted by the Cluster of Excellence.

Duties include the processing of the call for papers, support with the planning of schedules and panels at various locations at Universität Hamburg, communicating and coordination with the scholars involved (at the Cluster as well as invited speakers), supporting guests in cooperation with the office of the Cluster., the coordination of public relations, the organisation of events in connection with the conference and, eventually, the coordination, administration, and accounting of conference funds as well as the preparation of the conference’s proceedings.
