Next generation sequencing (NGS) machines (Genomics DNA)
NGS is an umbrella term for high throughput and massive parallel sequencing techniques. All have in common that they generate several millions of DNA sequences per run. The machines presented here are especially suited for the analysis of short DNA molecules, such as the highly fragmented aDNA molecules retrieved from historic materials. NGS machines work with DNA libraries generated in the course of DNA analyses from sampled material. The only limitation for a successful NGS run is a sufficient amount of DNA molecules.
