Public Events
Today, the humanities in particular are regularly under pressure to justify themselves: What is the purpose of research whose results often cannot be quantified in a narrow economic sense? In order to vividly convey the richness of what the humanities can offer civil society, our scholars actively reach out to the public and create formats that are attractive to a broad, heterogeneous field of audiences. Through workshops, exhibitions, and public lectures, UWA regularly brings researchers into conversation with artists and the public.
