Dr Pavel Hons

Pavel Hons graduated from Charles University in Prague where he also obtained his PhD (2010). Since 2008 he has been a researcher at the Oriental Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences. He also teaches at Charles University (since 2007). He works as an editor of the international peer reviewed journal Archiv orientální. He has an interest in Tamil language, Tamil literature and Indian society. Recently he has been involved in research on Dalits and Dalit literature, particularly emancipation strategies of Dalits in Tamil Nadu.
